WoW Forever Name Checker
Type your first and last name to check them against the WoW Forever naming rules before reservation day. This checks the format only — it can't see whether a name is already taken on Blizzard's servers.

Name checker tips
- A valid format doesn't mean the name is free: in Forever the full name has to be unique across your region, so have backups.
- Too long? Drop a vowel or swap the last name for a shorter one from the last name generator.
- Used an apostrophe (Vol'jin)? Remove it — Forever doesn't allow them.
- Accents count as different letters, so "Thräll" is not the same name as "Thrall".
FAQ
Does this check if my name is taken?
No. Only Blizzard knows which names are taken. This tool checks the format rules and suggests alternatives.
Why was my name rejected even though it passes?
Blizzard also blocks offensive words, trademarks and titles, and evaluates both names together.
Are accented letters allowed?
Yes, accented letters such as á, é, ö and ñ are allowed in WoW Forever names.
